As the Executive Director of the Arizona Career Development Center (ACDC), she has accepted the challenge to grow the workforce community, finding resources to assist students, and take ACDC to the next level.

John Clayton, a Senior Executive and Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Career Development Center (ACDC), brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leading transformative human service programs. His passion for empowering individuals through vocational training and community engagement makes him an invaluable asset to the ACDC team. John has dedicated much of his career to championing rehabilitative programs, as evidenced by his tenure as the Assistant Secretary for the Washington State Rehabilitation Administration (RA). There, he spearheaded significant improvements in reentry and transition for youth, educational programs, vocational training, and community step-down programs. His leadership scope was broadened in 2013 to include the Office of Juvenile Justice, Special Commitment Center, and Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. In all these roles, John has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to creating new pathways for self-sufficiency and employment for clients. His strategic vision led to the creation of the My JOB program, a notable career and work readiness initiative that prepared young people for successful reentry into their communities. John's engagement extends beyond his professional sphere into civic and professional organizations. He actively collaborates with the American Public Human Services Association, the YMCA, the Washington Partnership Council on Juvenile Justice, and the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators. These affiliations highlight John's commitment to strengthening communities and reducing youth violence. John's tireless dedication to creating opportunities for individuals and communities aligns seamlessly with ACDC's mission. His work in the human services field, particularly in vocational rehabilitation and youth reentry programs, is a testament to his dedication to making a positive, lasting impact. Kim Dartez is a passionate advocate for the underserved and underrepresented communities in Arizona. As the Director of Family Tree Healthcare, she has led the creation and implementation of innovative programs that promote healthy families and communities in at-risk populations. In addition to her work with FTHC, Kim is also the owner of Compass Dartez, an organization focused on introducing, training, and employing African American men and women throughout Maricopa County and the state of Arizona. Kim has been recognized for her leadership in various roles, including serving as Governor Ducey's commissioner to the Arizona Commission of African American Affairs and as Chair of Economic Development for the Commission. She has also been involved with the City of Tempe History Museum, serving as the Chair for the African American Advisory Committee and currently serving as co-Chair. Kim is a dedicated domestic violence advocate, representing Arizona at the National Woman of Color Network and serving as Chairperson for the Woman of Color Committee for the Arizona Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence for five years. Born and raised in Tempe, Arizona, Michelle worked for the City of Scottsdale for 28 years, where she made a significant impact at the Civic Center, Mustang, and Arabian Libraries. Michelle is a proud alumna of the University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Michelle had a long history of volunteering in her community, including serving as Chair for the Tempe History Museum - African-American Advisory Committee and Co-Chair for the Sustainability Pillar for the Commission of African-American Affairs for the State of Arizona. Michelle was also a Board Member for the Arizona Career Development Center (ACDC), where she brought her extensive experience in business management to help shape the organization's strategy and mission. In addition, Michelle served as President of the AGC Collector's Club of AZ, where she was dedicated to preserving the rich history and culture of Arizona. Michelle's dedication to her community and her expertise in business management made her an invaluable asset to the organizations she served.  Michelle passed away suddenly in 2022, and had a Tempe park named after her in 2025.
